Tidbits of Our Summer

Just a little update on what we have been doing....

Last Saturday, Andrew took a 52 mile bike ride with David and Anthony Frederick, Jon Klotz, and Kevin Moser. I finished weeding the flower beds and planted some seeds, along with 2 tomato plants, a zucchini plant, and a green pepper plant! Later, we put up new track lighting in our kitchen. It is so much brighter, now!
Monday, Andrew started work at 6AM for the first time! He is working four 10 hour days a week this summer. I substitute taught at Liberty Bible Academy.
Tuesday, I made homemade cinnamon rolls for the first time! Mmmmm! We had Sister Hollaway, the GBS nurse, and the Hyatts over for dinner. And to top of the busy day, I went to women's Bible study. It was challenging and I am sure I will be blogging more about that this summer!
Wednesday, I went to CVS and earned $8 dollars in the CVS Bucks back program. Andrew and I went to prayer meeting.
Thursday (today), Andrew's last day to work this week! Yay for long weekends!
This coming Saturday, we will be going to IN to be with Andrew's mom for the weekend!

I am a Teacher! Finally! After four and a half years of working toward this! I am officially the new third and fourth grade teacher at Aldersgate Christian Academy! Thank you, God, for providing the right job for me!

I went in to observe the class this week and the current teacher introduced me as Mrs. Rickenbach. Apparently one student didn't quite catch my last name, because when it was time for me to leave she asked if she could give a hug to "Mrs. Chickenpock"! I know teaching is going to be a joy! Students say the funniest things! But more than that, I am excited to impact these children for Jesus Christ!
